In approaching, I just say "hey, I run a street style blog (sometimes I say website if they sort of look like they might not know what a blog is), do you think I could take your picture?" just simple like that. I have to admit though, I get nervous every single time I go up to someone, it is a hard thing to do sometimes. I've let people pass me by because I hesitated, but then there are also the people I see and just know I have to take thier picture.

I never know what reaction I'm going to get. Most young people jump at the chance to hear a compliment and love to get their picture taken, but little old ladies, among others, have told me no, which is always awkward obviously. ha oh and I ran into Jamie Bell here in nyc and asked him. He kept walking and said "that sounds terrible!" haha very werid, but yeah you just gotta jump in there and expect anything. Mostly the worst that can happen is that they say no.

Pretty much, it'll either be a yes, a hesitent yes (like the other girl in the last entry with the heart sunglasses, she was really hesitent to let me take her picture), or a just a no.

My camera by the way is tiny and nothing special. I spruce up the pics on my comp. I always sort of feel less legit with a tiny camera, but it still does what a camera needs to do.
